Meridian High School Class of 2013

The Class of 2013 left Meridian High School with $1.9 million in scholarship offers to continue their education at colleges and universities across the country.


They officially graduated on Friday, May 24, 2013 in Ray Stadium.


Emma Reeves represented the 2013 graduating class as Valedictorian. Reeves is a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and STAR student scoring an impressive 31 on the ACT. Reeves served as Captain of the award winning Academic Team and President of the Leo Club this year. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and Wildcat Players Drama Club. In the fall, Reeves plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi as a Presidential Scholar with a major in English. Reeves is the daughter of John and Aprille Reeves.


Kajol Champaneri is the 2013 Salutatorian. Champaneri is also a key player on the award winning academic team and an officer for the Student Council and National Honor Society. For two years of her high school career, she was a member of the MHS Band. Champaneri plans to continue her education at the University of Mississippi where she has been accepted into the early entrance Pharmacy program. She is the daughter of Pramod and Rajeshri Champaneri.

·         38 members of the National Honor Society (must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better)

·         36 graduating with Highest Honors (cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better)

·         51 graduating with Honors (cumulative GPA between 3.25 – 3.7499)
