November Teachers of the Month - Deloris Riddle & Tatricia Walker

Congratulations to Deloris Riddle, T.J. Harris Lower Elementary, and Tatricia Walker, T.J. Harris Upper Elementary who were honored today with a surprise classroom visit, $25 gift card to Wal-Mart from Nino’s Daycare, and roses from Cartoons and Balloons.

T.J. Harris Lower – Deloris Riddle is a first grade teacher at T.J. Harris Lower Elementary. During November observations from various sources (District and State), one name kept coming up for good classroom management, successful practices, and high levels of rigor and that was Ms. Riddle. Harris Lower says “Riddle Rocks!”

T.J. Harris Upper – Tatricia Walker is a 5th math teacher at T.J. Harris Upper Elementary, and she is the ultimate team player. She is always willing to go above and beyond to assist students, and she is often the first to volunteer. With an encouraging spirit, she makes learning fun and provides great modeling. Harris Upper says “she's awesome!”

Mayor Percy Bland, Meridian Parks and Recreation Director Kelvin McGruder, and local businesses, Cartoons and Balloons and Nino's Daycare, will be recognizing an outstanding teacher or staff member from two MPSD schools a month during the 2014-15 school year. 

Congratulations to Ms. Riddle and Ms. Walker! We are very proud of you!
