MPSD to implement new athletic event guideline

MERIDIAN, SEPTEMBER 15, 2017 - Beginning with the Meridian High School homecoming football game on September 22, 2017, all K-8th-grade students must be supervised by a parent or guardian while attending Meridian Public School District athletic events. Students in grades 9-12 must present an MPSD student ID before entering the game.
“We want our fans to be able to come to our athletic events and have a great time as a family,” said Dr. Amy Carter, MPSD Superintendent. “This is just another step for us to be able to create a gameday environment for all to enjoy.”
Any K-8th-grade student without a parent or guardian will not be admitted to MPSD athletic events.
This includes all future MPSD athletic events.
